If you're wondering "who the flip is Allen Hopps?", it's time to get educated fool! Allen and Shannon Hopps are the head hanchos behind Dark Hour haunted house. Why is this relevant? Well, because this is the most badass haunt you will go to this year, no doubt, hands down, I'd bet money on it! There's not a dull moment in the haunt itself. The animatronics are legendary. The theme's are completely original. The customes are made IN HOUSE and the scare team sets the bar so high with quality theatrics that are sure to haunt your dreams. Calling the team actors doesn't give justice to the job they do. Honestly, it never felt like someone in a walmart mask was jumping out of a dark room at us. It really felt like we were intruders in a different world and the residence were kind enough to let us live to tell the tale.

This blog isn't to give away spoilers, you'll need to experience the haunt yourself. All photography was done outside of the haunt in the waiting rooms and work shops. Spoilers suck right? I don't want to suck. Some moments in life just deserve for your tech to be put away so you can experience every bit of it and trust me, this is one of those. Before diving into this blog I do want to give a HUGE thank you to Shannon & Allen, they were so welcoming and awesome. I really will cherish this experience for as long as I live. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Terrifying right? It's a damn sunflower. Now imagine what Allen can do with 30,000 square foot building. Oh yeah, pure nightmare fuel.

Again, I don't want to give away the experience here, buy your ticket and do that yourself. Trust me, it's worth every penny. What I will go into is what sets this experience apart from the rest. Everything you see in the haunt was made in house ladies and gentlemen. That's right, Allen is working is nimble talented fingers to the bone for us. For you. For me. For Gotham. The amount of detail that goes into each and every piece really creates the experience. I really can't make this shit up ladies and gents. You really need to experience this haunted house for yourself.

Luckily for us, Allen is as intuitive as he is terrifying. We had the privilege of interviewing of him and he gave us some super insightful knowledge. Luckily para y mi, Destiny caught one of the best parts of our interview on camera and it does a way better job than I could EVER do with text.

Alright, it's getting harder to go on and not give anything away about the haunt itself. Plan your weekend now! Halloween will be here and then the experience will be over. HOWEVER, Dark hour does open back up every friday the 13th, St. Patricks day when that lands on a weekend, and Christmas as well. That's right, a krampus themed haunt opens yearly for the holidays here at Dark Hour and you can gaurentee I will be there this year to capture that experience first hand!

I just want to thank Shannon & Allen again for not only giving me the opportunity to do some photography but also making this the experience of a lifetime. It also gave me an excuse to write again and because of that I will be forever greatful.
