Rufe Snow Wings & Burgers delivers an experience that can only be topped by the flavor they cook up in the kitchen! Badass burgers close to home always put a smile on my face.

So I'm guilty of something I'm not proud of. I've driven by this place probably over a hundred times and have just said, "One day, I'll go there.". I kept pushing it off, of course, never going. It's easy to do, and unfortunately, this leads to big corporations getting my money when I want a burger because it's quick and easy. If I'm being honest, I want to kick myself in the ass for not stopping sooner, this place fucking rocks.

Rufe Snow Wings & Burgers is right off of Rufe Snow and Bursey. The location is killer, you can't miss it, and there is plenty of parking. The video above gives you a great idea of the atmosphere, the vibe is perfect. It's the spot you could meet up with some friends for a few drinks, but also take the family on a different night. The bar being away from the booths and big tables was such a smart move by the ownership; this helps create that bar and family setting. The staff were very welcoming, I never went without anything. When they weren't tending to my needs, they were cleaning. A lot. When I noticed this, I realized how clean the place really was. You can tell the staff cares. I always pull the asshole move and check to see if the ketchup bottles are sticky, they were not. Hell, even the napkin dispensers were spotless. It was really impressive.

I grew up in Watauga. Rufe Snow and Stardust were two of the most important streets of my childhood, so when I saw a burger called The Rufe Snow Signature, I had to have it. I didn't even read what was on it, I just said, Gimme the goods. My server, whose name I forgot because I'm fucking terrible with names, suggested doing the sidewinder fries and I'll tell ya, I'll be thankful for that for the rest of my life. Those things fucking SLAPPED! The burger was loaded with flavor, each topping accented the next, creating a savory explosion. Even the Jalapeños left a memorable experience; they weren't overbearing, it was the perfect amount of heat. Also, I'm a slut for provolone (thanks Jimmy Johns), so when you melt that shit on my burger, you've already got +50 cool points in my book. The burger itself was tender, and the seasoning left an itch on my tongue that only another bite could satisfy. It's what some would call "seasoned to perfection." Long story short, it was fucking awesome and I can't wait to go back.
If you are in the mood for a badass burger, give this place a try. You won't regret it.🤘
