Growing up, all I wanted to eat was pizza and mac & cheese. If baby Max had been introduced to Mix & Max Kitchen, where you can make your own personal mac & cheese pizza, I would have exploded. Literally would have exploded from excitement. Just a child who spontaneously combusted from cheesy excitement.
Now, this place might be every child's dream, however, the flavor is very real and very serious. When we think of a Mac & Cheese kitchen, it's almost hard to take the concept seriously, right? Wrong! When you walk in, you are immediately punched in the face with an aroma of queso and baked crust. Your senses go from interested to excited instantly.

Everything I tried, and trust me, it was a lot, was packed with its own unique flavor. Every dish has its signature recipe, it's not just cheese, noodles, and in the oven. Even though the base of everything is the cheese sauce (which is a secret recipe), it all still tasted different. The mix of flavors differed in a way that nothing tasted the same. It was impressive. My girlfriend, Hi Lisa :), got a flatbread which she customized with mac & cheese, chicken, and hot sauce. Again, the smells of the flatbread marinated the room from being in the scorching hot oven. Once it was served, we couldn't wait for it to cool down. Your meal goes straight from the oven to the table, so it's served piping hot, the way it should be. It was worth the burn. Every bit of it. We couldn't get over how great the flatbread was; the mix of hot sauce and cheeses still lingers in our minds to this day.

Aside from the amazing food, the owner, Pratik, is a great guy. He actually has another job on top of this and you can still catch him in here busting his ass on the weekends when he's not at his full-time. It's admirable. The shop is very clean, the staff is very friendly, and really, there's no reason this shouldn't be one of the MUST GO TO spots in NRH. It's right off Davis Blvd. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and swing by. They are even on DoorDash, so you can get it delivered! No excuse not to try it now! Oh yeah, Keller, NRH, & Southlake residents get $10.99 grilled cheese combo meals on Tuesdays. Now that you know that, what's your excuse not to visit??
