Psalm 32:8: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you".

Talking to God, oh boy. This is going to be a fun one. I have a buddy that is atheist and will laugh at this whole blog. I pray for him and love him nonetheless.

There was a time I did forget how to pray, and to his point, it did feel like I was just talking to myself in my head. I forgot how to talk to God and in return, I couldn't hear him talking to me. Looking back, there were so many signs when I had begun to lose my faith and I ignored them all and continued to do stupid shit and consequentially my life spiraled for a minute there. God probably being like, "You jackass!". Probably not though because in turn, my downfall there sparked the gust of wind that would eventually be my butterfly effect back into religion.

Don't know what The Butterfly Effect is? Look it up, or watch the movie with Ashton Kutcher. Probably just look it up though, that movie will fuck you up emotionally. 🧨 #iykyk

Do I think God talks to me? Absolutely. I think he talks to all of us, we just choose to ignore it or can't understand it yet. I don't think it's another voice in your head or hearing his physical voice at all. Let me tell you how I perceive his communication.

I'm big on angel numbers believe it are not, if you aren't familiar with them, again, look it up. Odds are you can find one tattoo'd on 1 in 4 women, they've become trendy. But hey! It's a good trend, beats the shit out of whatever 6-7 is. Why is this relevant though? I believe the big man uses them to communicate with me. LET ME ELABORATE BEFORE YOU TALK SHIT! One conversation I had with CJ (my personal apostle) early in our walk with God was about how we communicate with God once we learn how to really pray. He made a point to tell me God speaks to everyone differently and usually in the way we are most comfortable with. Things that are close to our heart or hold meaning to us. To CJ, it wasn't crazy that I would see angel numbers when I needed to the most. He told me to follow the trend and that it sounds like numbers were God's way of communicating with me.

My aunt's birthday is March 13th, 3/13. She is huge in her faith and she loves the number 313 because it was the year Constantine created the Edict of Milan which allowed for freedom of religion in the Roman Empire, thus Christianity flourished in what is now Istanbul. She believes every time she sees 313 it's God sending a sign everything is going to be alright and she just starts thanking God repeatedly. I witnessed it so many times and when I began seeing it I would send her pictures. Of course when we see it we mean in every day occurrences right? Like license plates, phones numbers, receipts, etc. Last year I begin to notice I started seeing it when things got tough. When I needed that sign that things were going to be alright, it would appear. Then 777, then 999, then 222. I noticed I would start seeing these numbers like crazy and sure enough, before you knew it a job would come through that put me back on track. That spark of hope was relit. I just needed faith.

Now I know some of you are thinking "You really expect us to believe God talks to you in numbers?" and my response to you is abso-fucking-lutely. If you need a sign that God's trying to talk to you and you need to start listening, let this be it! Psalm 32:8 states, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you". Let me translate for my stubborn friends, it states "Listen up mother fuckers, I will literally TELL YOU where the fuck to go and what you should do. Don't be an idiot. Let's get this bread." Seriously though, when times are tough and you need a break, look at your surroundings, listen for context clues in conversation. I promise some of you are going to say I'm making something out of nothing and others will understand God is making miracles. I want to hang out with that crowd.

God's timing is immaculate. Things happen and we won't understand them, and it's not always for us to understand them then. Later, when we see the bigger picture we can pause and say "Damn, God is TOO good!." He also has warriors that he sends your way when you need them the most. Don't brush that shit off, listen when they speak to you, he sent them there to lift you up. This can be a friend or a random stranger sending a compliment, we've all had those instances where we hear what we need to at the most needed times. Appreciate that and be grateful. I had a contract pull a very shitty move and then try to boss me around still and they were surprised when I told them "I'll get to your work tomorrow morning, I should tell you to fuck off but I'll be the bigger person." Just completely flabbergasted I dropped an f bomb. I won't drop names because I don't think God would appreciate me straight BLASTING THE FUCK out of those shitheads, so I'll say this instead. I acted the way I did because I was vulnerable and felt like my work was bad for the first time ever doing this. I felt like I wasn't good enough to continue doing Violet Skyy Media to the point where I was ready to find a desk job somewhere. Then my buddy Steven texted me. We talk every now and again but he's one of those friends where if I called at 3 AM saying I killed someone, he's grabbing a shovel and looking for a spot on google maps. One of the best friends I'll ever have and a true blessing to have around. Alright enough wordgasm about Steven.. but listen. If you met the man you'd get it! You'd be like, "Oh shit, everything Max said is completely true. This is a good guy. I want to give him a high five." ANYWAY.

Steven texted me the other night and was just checking up on me and we got to talking about work and I told him I was ready to hang it up. He wasn't having it, he told me I worked way too hard for this and if he had to help with anything he would. It was one of those slow burns that just kept coming back all week and finally I was like you know what? He's right! I regained all my confidence and within two days landed two jobs and we're going to continue to climb this high.

Listen for God, he is speaking to you, he is talking to you, he is there for you. Stay positive, spread the good word, and enjoy life. That wraps this week up, next week we go over my buddy CJ and how we all need that push to get going sometimes.

Goodnight!🤘
